Ingredients
Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 2 teaspoons pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
Chili
- 2 lbs ground turkey, bison or venison
- 1/2 cup chopped organic onion
- 2 14.5 oz canned organic tomatoes
- 1.5 cups chicken/bone or veggie broth
- 1/2 cup choice of veggies* (see recipe notes)
Notes
*Choose one (or all) of the following. The quantity is not listed below since it can vary depending on how many different options you choose. You can start with ½ cup of whichever veggies you choose, but the more you add, the better:
- Zucchini or yellow squash
- Canned or fresh pumpkin or sweet potato
- Artichoke hearts
- Spinach, kale, or other greens
- Carrots
- Cauliflower
