  • 2 15 oz organic garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place your rinsed chickpeas on a clean absorbent kitchen towel. Rub them to dry. While drying them, try to remove as many of the skins as possible (you don’t need to get all of them!) This will help them to crisp better. Also, the drier they are, the crispier they will be.
  3. Toss the chickpeas with the olive oil and spices.
  4. Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes, then toss them and bake another 20-25 minutes or until dry and crispy. Baking time is highly dependent on your oven, so check them regularly toward the end of the recommended cooking time.
