This dairy-free ranch dressing is a staple in our home. It’s one of those condiments that you can pretty much use on anything. Use as a salad dressing, dip (try with our Garlic and Chive Flatbread, amazing!), drizzle on our Spicy Sweet Potato Power Bowl, or our Sweet Potato Skillet With Turkey and Kale.Hemp seeds are nutritional powerhouses, an amazing source of protein, vitamins, and minerals such as iron and magnesium, plus the perfect combo of Omega 3s and 6 fats. But did you know you can turn them into a creamy, dairy-free, protein-packed ranch dressing?Hemp seeds turn nice and creamy when blended and make the perfect base for this dairy-free twist on ranch dressing. This dressing is a delicious protein boost for your salad or as a dip for your favorite chopped veggies! And as always, this recipe meets all of our anti-inflammatory diet guidelines.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup hulled hemp seeds
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1/4 cup filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or herbs of choice (optional)
  • sea salt
  • freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the hemp seeds, lemon juice, water, olive oil, Dijon, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  2. Blend the mixture on high until you have a smooth and creamy texture. Scrape the dressing into a small bowl or jar.
